I wanted something very bright and powerful, so I was originally looking at the DeWalt 1000-lumen flashlight, but it was more expensive and it would have required me to additionally purchase a battery and charger. I have no other DeWalt tools, so it didn't make a lot of sense for me to spend that much just for a flashlight. So I decided to give this Stanley flashlight a try first and I am so glad I did! It is so incredibly bright and the beam of light is wide too. I can even see up into huge trees and search for owls if I want.
