The Ambit Suspension Lamp ?40cm was created by Jens Fager from TAF Architects for Scandinavian design company Muuto.Based in Stockholm, Muuto work with some of the best Nordic designers whose remit is to combine functionality with eye-catching aesthetics. The company's name is taken from the Finnish word 'muutos' meaning 'new perspective' which, through their unique and original designs, they continually strive to achieve. Young Swedish designer Jens Fager has already established an international reputation at major exhibitions in Milan, London and Stockholm for his contemporary design philosophy of creating beauty for everyday products.This has been effortlessly achieved with his Ambit Suspension Lamp that has a timeless quality and yet is eminently suitable for a variety of locations, from home living rooms and to office environments. In the tradition of old braziers, the ceiling pendant lamp is press spun, polished and painted, all by hand. The gentle curving clean lines of the lamp are maintained by the electronic parts being hidden and the subtle integrated cord at the top. The interior of the shade is white for all the available colours. With a 23.8cm height and 40cm diameter, it is made from aluminium, has a coordinating coloured cord.
